Physical Therapy at AZCCPP

From Dr. Hibner himself, in regards to treating Pundendal Neuralgia, “What I tell patients is this. The number one thing for repetitive injury is to stop what you’re doing. The number two thing is to choose physical therapy over anything else. By far the majority of patients are helped by appropriate pelvic floor physical therapy.”

At AZCCPP, Physical Therapy or PT is an integral part of rehabilitation. Due to the complexity of chronic pelvic pain and other pelvic conditions effective treatment requires a multifaceted approach. Here we combine your information, clinical expertise, Medical evaluation with Dr. Hibner and Physical therapy evaluation with Tiffany to improve quality and speed of diagnosis and treatment, providing a better overall picture to make the best individually tailored decisions for your care.

With Tiffany at AZCCPP, you can expect a thorough evaluation with a specially trained therapist to better understand your specific condition and progression of symptoms, and if in the office an internal and external examination to palpate specific muscle and nerve areas for improved specificity of diagnosis of your condition to provide most successful treatment. If treatment is appropriate at the time, treatment may start with a variety of exercises or stretches to improve pelvic floor muscle coordination, along with lifestyle management tools to address bladder, bowel and sexual function to better manage pain or other symptoms. These educational tools can help empower you to reduce your pain. Further along in treatment focus evolves to improving strength and muscle balance to allow you to return to your desired activities. As not all patients are able to attend PT in Arizona, we can also help via telemedicine or by connecting you with an appropriate provider in your area. Our goal is to improve your quality of life, however that may transpire.

About Tiffany

Tiffany was born and raised in rural Minnesota. She then went to undergraduate college in North Dakota, going to the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. She decided to attend college here as her mother (also a Physical Therapist) had attended there. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology in 2012. Tiffany then went to graduate school at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, graduating with her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2016.

Her passion for pelvic floor treatment began in graduate school with an elective class in “Women’s Health” learning about pelvic conditions and treatment. She originally envisioned specializing in pelvic health later in her career; but after being out of school for a little while, she decided to specialize early.

She has pursued additional training through the Herman and Wallace Institute, being trained in diagnosis and treatment of bowel, bladder, sexual and pain dysfunctions for all genders. She is very passionate about improving patient quality of life.

After having a clinical rotation in the Phoenix valley, she decided to move to the valley after graduate school and has lived in the valley since 2016. Tiffany now resides in Gilbert with her husband Bryan, their cat Shelby, and their turtle Jeffica.
