Phoenix, AZ — 2022 — The Arizona Center for Chronic Pelvic Pain (AZCCPP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael Hibner, a distinguished member of our medical community, to the position of Secretary-Treasurer of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).
This prestigious role is a testament to Dr. Hibner's exceptional expertise and dedication in the field of gynecologic laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Michael Hibner is a renowned gynecologic surgeon based in Phoenix, AZ, with extensive expertise in treating pelvic pain and related conditions. Educated at the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland, he has been practicing in the United States since 1994. He also is affiliated with HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center.

Dr. Hibner has treated thousands of patients with complex pelvic disorders, including advanced endometriosis, pudendal neuralgia, and nerve entrapment, and has performed numerous robotic and specialized surgical procedures.
Recognizing a gap in physician education on pelvic pain, Dr. Hibner successfully petitioned the AAGL in 2011 to establish a Special Interest Group focused on this area, which he chaired, significantly advancing awareness among his peers.
He has served on the AAGL Board of Directors and the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS) Board. Dr. Hibner also holds academic positions at Creighton University, the University of Arizona, the Mayo Clinic, and Arizona State University, and is a respected author and reviewer in the field of pelvic pain.
He has been pivotal in advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques and has contributed significantly to the field through clinical practice and research. As Secretary-Treasurer of the AAGL, Dr. Hibner will be instrumental in overseeing the association’s financial operations and ensuring the integrity of its governance.
The AAGL is the world’s leading medical association dedicated to improving women’s health through excellence in clinical practice, cutting-edge education, groundbreaking research, and forward-thinking innovation and advocacy.
The appointment of Dr. Hibner is a sign of how highly regarded they are by their colleagues and how much they have contributed to the field.
